Does Scheflo require an account to use?
No account is required. You can download the app and start using every feature immediately — no sign-up, no email address, no password. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. Scheflo Pro users can optionally enable iCloud Sync to keep data in sync across their Apple devices.
How does Scheflo detect public holidays for my country?
Scheflo reads your iOS locale setting (e.g. "US", "GB") and makes a single network request to HolidayAPI to fetch public holidays for your country. The results are cached on your device, so no further network calls are made for the same country and year. Your precise location is never accessed.
My country's holidays aren't showing. What do I do?
Make sure your iPhone's Region is set correctly in Settings → General → Language & Region → Region. Then open Scheflo and navigate to the month view and the app will fetch holidays automatically. If your country isn't supported by HolidayAPI, holidays won't appear. Contact us and we'll look into it.
How do I lock my diary with Face ID?
Go to Settings (bottom tab in Scheflo) → Privacy → Enable Face ID Lock. Once enabled, opening the Diary tab will prompt Face ID authentication. If Face ID fails, you can use your device passcode as a fallback.
Can I back up or sync my Scheflo data?
Yes, in two ways. First, since Scheflo stores data locally using Apple's SwiftData, your data is included in your iPhone's standard iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes backup. Second, Scheflo Pro users can enable iCloud Sync in Settings to keep data in real-time sync across all their Apple devices. Restore any backup on a new device and Scheflo's data will be there.
How do I cancel my Scheflo Pro subscription?
Open iPhone Settings → Apple ID (your name) → Subscriptions → Scheflo → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Scheflo does not manage subscriptions directly. All billing goes through Apple.
What is included in Scheflo Pro?
Scheflo Pro unlocks advanced budget charts, unlimited templates, iCloud Sync across devices, and additional calendar customisation options. A free tier is available with core calendar, diary, and basic budget features. Upgrade at any time from inside the app.
I deleted the app and lost my data. Can I recover it?
If you had an iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes backup made while Scheflo was installed, restoring that backup will recover your data. Scheflo Pro users with iCloud Sync enabled will have their data automatically restored upon reinstalling the app and signing in. Without any backup, data cannot be recovered.
Does Scheflo sync with Apple Calendar (CalDAV)?
Not currently. Scheflo maintains its own local calendar store, with optional iCloud Sync for Pro users. Integration with Apple Calendar or Google Calendar is on our roadmap. If this is important to you, let us know at feedback@scheflo.app — feature requests help us prioritise.
What are the Terms of Use?
By downloading and using Scheflo, you agree to Apple's standard App Store terms (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) as the End User Licence Agreement for Scheflo. You agree to use the app for lawful personal purposes only. Scheflo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where can I find the EULA?
